This is the wedding page for Tom Scudder and Eve Greenfield. Our wedding will be on Saturday, September 5 (the Saturday before Labor Day), starting at 6 PM. The ceremony and reception will both take place at the Highland Park Community House, and will be catered by Noon-o-Kabab Persian restaurant.
We have some preliminary information on hotels:
First off, we strongly suggest you go to kayak.com and check the rates available there, as they may well be as good as or better than the ones we've gotten from the hotels. There's a room search for Evanston and environs linked in the upper right-hand corner. All the hotels listed below are in Evanston proper and close to public transport into Chicago or out to the wedding site; those who are not planning on renting a car should stick to these or similar places.

Best Western University Plaza Hotel (Google map) - $119 per night, 10-room block.
Orrington Hotel (Google map) - $159 per night, 10-room block.
The Homestead (Google map) - $130 single, $140 double, 10-room block. The Homestead also has studio, one- and two-bedroom furnished apartments that can be rented by the night, which may be a good option for families who want to avoid the need for multiple hotel rooms, or people who would like to share space but would still like privacy (or a kitchen). The apartments cannot be included in our room block, so just contact the hotel directly for availability.
Finally, people have asked about our registry. Bear in mind that we don't think anyone has an obligation to get us ANYTHING - we're both adults and have plenty of stuff and plenty of income and so forth. But still, we're registered at Macy's and at amazon.com:
